Key Colours for A/W 26/27:
In October last year, WGSN and Coloro unveiled their A/W 26/27 colour predictions - and we’re here to break them down for you. From timeless neutrals to bold statement shades, these are the hues that will define the season:
- Timeless Teal – Crowned Colour of the Year 2026, this deep, versatile teal is the standout dark of the season. Its transitional quality makes it adaptable across fashion, interiors, and product design.
- Oat Milk – The go-to neutral of A/W 26/27. Sitting between off-white and cream, this inclusive shade works seamlessly across all demographics and product categories.
- Aurora Purple – A vibrant, energetic purple best used in playful pops. Expect to see it as an accent rather than a dominant shade.
- Milk Chocolate – A rich, warm brown positioned as the key dark tone of the season. Designers should lean into this colour for statement looks and grounding palettes.
- Luminous Lime – The youth-driven highlight. This zingy lime is perfect for accessories and details, injecting fun and vibrancy without overpowering full garments.
Print Focus: The Must-Have Patterns for Autumn/Winter 26/27
Now, moving forward to what we’re known for; Print! We’ve been busy analysing the Autumn catwalks and pulled out our 3 favourite print trends that we believe will be dominating the clothing scene.
Gothic Floral:
Florals remain the perennial print trend, but for Autumn we see them take a darker, more enigmatic turn. Moving away from delicate pastels, the new season embraces a “Gothic Floral” aesthetic - moody, mysterious, and undeniably bold. Whether as a statement placement motif or an all-over print, these designs demand attention and bring drama to the wardrobe.
Expect to see florals reimagined with a slightly distorted, off-kilter edge, as showcased in the Altuzarra Fall collection - a fresh interpretation that balances beauty with intrigue.
Heritage Plaid:
Collections for Autumn are celebrating the return of heritage prints, with plaid taking centre stage. While the timeless tartan check remains a staple, this season’s updates bring fresh layers of creativity. Expect to see floral overlays (as beautifully highlighted by Etro) and softened line strokes that create a more blurred, contemporary effect.
