The Create Show, Prints Paris, and Première Vision (PV)
February in the heart of Paris was buzzing with creativity as some of the biggest textile design studios gathered for the highly anticipated print trade fairs: The Create Show, Prints Paris, and Première Vision. These events serve as a crucial meeting point for industry experts, designers, buyers, and brands looking for fresh, trend-forward print designs.

The Create Show: A Hub of Print Innovation
With over two decades of history, The Create Show continues to be a cornerstone event for the textile design industry. It’s a gathering place for some of the most prestigious print studios set in a beautiful showroom, many of whom also exhibit at Première Vision (PV)—making it a must-visit destination for buyers in search of high-quality, exclusive designs.
This year’s show was nothing short of a visual spectacle, with print studios presenting a breath-taking variety of designs. Striking fabric panels draped throughout the space created an immersive, gallery-like atmosphere, immediately capturing visitors' attention. The collections on display were vibrant, diverse, and meticulously curated, offering buyers an exciting range of options.
While a selection of early fall designs was available, summer collections took center stage at this
bi-annual textile design show, reflecting a shift in demand. Unlike last February—when buyers sought an equal mix of summer and fall prints—this year, the preference told to us by the pattern curators were there was a demand for warm-weather designs.
With its dynamic energy, top-tier exhibitors, and an array of standout prints, The Create Show once again proved why it remains a key event for the textile design industry.info@createdesignstudios.com

PREMIERE VISION
Première Vision (PV) Paris held at parc des exposition is one of the world's leading textile and fashion trade shows, held twice a year in Paris. It serves as a global hub for industry professionals, bringing together textile mills, print studios, leather suppliers, accessory makers, and fashion tech innovators to showcase their latest collections and innovations.
At première vision paris, the Design Area is a dedicated space where textile design studios from around the world showcase their latest print and pattern collections. This section is a major attraction for fashion brands, fabric manufacturers, and product developers looking for exclusive, trend-forward designs from these print design studios.
Over the past five years, the Design Area at Première Vision has gradually shrunk, but this year, it seemed to regain its former energy. Many visitors commented that the atmosphere felt reminiscent of the “old days,” with a steady flow of buyers and an exciting buzz throughout the space. But this show is an expensive option that showing here is out of lots of studios reach.
One notable difference at PV compared to The Create Show and Prints Paris was the strong presence of French design studios, which were less visible at the other events. Alongside them, a diverse mix of top international studios added to the richness and variety of designs on display.
A key advantage of Première Vision is its Trend forums—a must-see for buyers in the fashion industry looking for insights into the future of fashion and textiles. This curated space showcases upcoming color palettes, pattern directions, and material innovations, naturally drawing visitors in and creating valuable exposure for the studios exhibiting nearby.
With its renewed energy, strong international presence, and trend-driven focus, the Design Area at PV once again proved itself as a vital stop for those seeking fresh, forward-thinking textile designs.

What trends are emerging from what was sold
There was a clear consistency in the trends emerging from sales at the trade shows. However, it’s important to remember that every buyer selects prints based on their unique customer profile. Different brands across various countries often gravitate toward year-round staples or seasonal trends, depending on their market needs.
Most print studios at the design events had thoughtfully curated their collections with these factors in mind, ensuring a diverse range of designs that catered to global preferences. Whether buyers were seeking timeless bestsellers or fresh seasonal prints, the shows reflected a well-balanced mix, tailored to the ever-evolving demands of the fashion and textile industries.
What Sold: Key Print Trends

The trade shows revealed some clear favorites when it came to print trends, with buyers gravitating toward bold, beautifully crafted designs that stood out in a competitive market.
Florals: A perennial bestseller, florals continued to dominate, but with a broad range of styles in demand. Buyers were drawn to large, statement-making blooms, delicate spring sprigs, and painterly, softly blurred florals. Hand-painted and naïve floral interpretations added a unique, artistic touch, while classic roses emerged as a standout motif.
Tropicals: This trend was everywhere, spanning from vintage-inspired tropical landscapes reminiscent of 1950s Hawaiian shirts to oversized palm motifs and fun, playful tropical fruit prints. Bright, lively, and full of energy, tropicals made a strong impact across collections.
Animal Prints: A timeless staple, realistic leopard prints remained a customer favorite, while small-scale, textured animal patterns offered a fresh take on the trend.
Ditsy Prints: While traditional ditsy florals were less in demand, they still found buyers when incorporating something new—whether through unexpected layouts or subtle but innovative details that set them apart.
Hero Prints: Brands with in-house design teams focused on sourcing standout, one-of-a-kind designs that couldn’t easily be replicated internally, ensuring they had truly exclusive, high-impact prints in their collections.
Novelty Prints: Conversational and novelty designs remained a hit with brands, though they were less sought after by manufacturers, who often prioritize more commercial, versatile prints.
What Buyers Were Looking For

Interesting Layouts: There was a strong demand for prints with fresh, creative compositions that felt modern and unique. Buyers wanted designs that brought something new to the table.
Screen-Printable Designs: Many buyers specifically requested screen-print-friendly prints, likely to accommodate their production requirements.
Overall, buyers showed a keen eye for quality and originality, with a strong preference for bold, hand-crafted looks and thoughtfully composed designs that would set their collections apart.
All three events saw huge attendance, drawing a strong crowd of buyers and industry professionals. The majority of visitors were European, with a noticeable presence from Australia, India, and China. However, compared to previous years, there were fewer American and Turkish buyers this time around.
Despite these regional shifts, the energy remained high, with exhibitors engaging with a steady flow of interested buyers, all looking for the next big trend in textile design.
